Just a short drive west of Limassol, Avdimou Bay is our home spot and arguably one of the safest and most beautiful places to kite in Cyprus. The wide, sandy beach and open space make it ideal for learning. From May to October, reliable Southwest thermal winds (typically 15–25 knots) blow cross-onshore, creating safe, predictable conditions perfect for everything from water starts to advanced freestyle tricks.

Lady's Mile Beach
Stretching for 5 kilometers on the edge of Limassol, Lady's Mile is a massive sandy playground with a shallow, waist-deep lagoon — buttery flat water that makes it one of the safest places in Cyprus to nail your first water starts, with cafés right on the sand. In the winter months, when the wind switches to the East, Lady's Mile transforms into a fantastic wave spot for advanced riders chasing storm swells.

Just past the ancient ruins of Kourion lies a fantastic wave spot for intermediate and advanced riders. When the wind kicks up, Kourion offers some of the best wave riding in the Limassol district. Because the wind can be punchy and the waves get steep, it is recommended for confident riders who know their way around a surfboard or twin-tip in choppy conditions.

Getting to Limassol is incredibly easy, making it a stress-free destination for your next kitesurfing trip.
You can fly into either Paphos International Airport (PFO) or Larnaca International Airport (LCA). Both are roughly a 45 to 50-minute drive from Limassol.
We highly recommend renting a car. Public transport won't get you and your twin-tip down the dirt tracks to the best launch spots at Lady's Mile or Avdimou Bay. Having a rental car gives you the freedom to chase the wind wherever it blows.
Limassol offers the perfect balance. You can stay in the vibrant city center to enjoy the famous Cypriot nightlife, incredible meze tavernas, and coffee culture, and then take a quick 20-minute drive to the beaches for your afternoon sessions. Do I need to bring my own gear to Cyprus?
